Brother Chad Stanley was born into a baptist pastor’s home and raised in the ministry. As a young boy he made a profession of faith, but as he grew older he knew that that was all it was, a “profession”. For many years the Holy Spirit was convicting Brother Stanley of his lost condition. While attending bible college, just two months into his first semester, a visiting preacher was preaching on a Sunday night out of Romans 10:13 on “The Urgency of the Call.” During that message the Holy Spirit convicted him and showed him why it was of urgency that he call upon Christ to save his soul. That night Pastor Stanley was gloriously saved.
While attending the Landmark Baptist College in Haines City, Florida Brother Stanley served in different ministries of the local church. His junior year of college he was called to pastor a small church just forty minutes from where he was being trained. He pastored there for almost two years before the Lord moved him back to serve under Dr. Carter. During those days the Lord deeply burdened Brother Stanley’s heart for Georgia, although he did not know where.
Then in July of 2012 the Lord brought Brother Chad Stanley to Waycross, Georgia, to Pastor the Tri-County Baptist Church. This young church was meeting in a small office space when they called Brother Stanley as Pastor. The church had been praying for a bigger meeting place as they did not have any room to grow in their current meeting place.
Within just days of Brother Stanley being called to pastor this young work, it was evident that God was working out details for a plan that only He could put together. While Tri-County Baptist Church was praying for a larger meeting space, God was working in the heart of another independent baptist church in the area, the Maranatha Baptist Church. Maranatha was going through a transition period of seeking the Lord’s will for a Pastor.
Through a course of events (which only the Lord could have orchestrated) and after just three weeks of Brother Stanley being the Pastor of Tri-County Baptist Church, both churches voted unanimously to merge together and form a new independent, fundamental Baptist church. With that, Countryside Baptist Church was born!
Brother Chad has a deep burden to reach the lost with the gospel. He not only has a vision for the lost of the tri-county area, but for the lost of the world. Brother Stanley believes that world missions is the very heart beat of God, therefore it ought to be the heart beat of the local church!
Brother Chad and his wife, Tammy, have been married seventeen years and have three boys:
Andrew (6) James (16) Hayden (9).
