Pastor Chad Stanley was born on December 18, 1979, to Ed and Wanda Stanley. He had the privilege of growing up as a “preacher’s kid” in a godly, Christian home. As a young boy, he made a profession of faith; but as he grew older, he knew that that was all it was, a “profession.” For many years, the Holy Spirit was convicting him of his lost condition. While attending Bible college, just two months into his first semester, a visiting preacher was preaching on a Sunday night out of Romans 10:13 on “The Urgency of the Call.” During that message, the Holy Spirit convicted him and showed him why it was of urgency that he call upon Jesus Christ to save his soul. That night, Pastor Stanley was gloriously saved.
Pastor Stanley enrolled in Landmark Baptist College, in Haines City, Florida, in the spring semester of 2008. While studying for the ministry, he served on staff at Landmark Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Mickey Carter. He graduated from Landmark Baptist College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in May of 2011. In 2010 while in college, he accepted the call to pastor a small country church in Auburndale, Florida. During his two years there, the Lord blessed in a mighty way. The church grew and doubled its attendance. A bus ministry was started, and many souls were saved.
Then in July of 2012 through a course of events, the Lord brought him and his family to Waycross, Georgia, where he serves as the pastor of Countryside Baptist Church. Pastor Stanley is a Bible preacher with a heart for people. He has a deep burden to reach the lost with the Gospel. He has a vision not only for the lost of the Waycross area but also for the lost of the entire world. Brother Stanley believes that world missions is the very heartbeat of God; therefore, it ought to be the heartbeat of the church.
Pastor Stanley and his wife Tammy have been married for twenty-four years. God has blessed them with four wonderful children: three handsome boys and a beautiful girl. The entire Stanley family actively serves the Lord together in different ministries of the church.
